One reputable paint shop told me that you run risk of ripping the paint off when taking clear bra off down the road.

I don't really get the point...bumper respray is 1k, clear bra is 1k. I could live with couple chips and just do respray every 5-7 years.

I am beginning to feel that way- I also need to buy new rear tires so my kiddie of play money is dwindling quickly!!

Nah, you just have to wait a couple of months before you put the clear bra on. Then you're safe. I agree on that the price of xpel is crazy. My 993tt doesn't have any xpel on it. Just added RUF bumpers and I'll just enjoy it and touch it up if it gets to bad down the road.

I'm just relaying info that guy who does repainting for a living said. If it was just matter of waiting for a few months, he would have said so.
