Default Porsche Classic USA

As searching the Porsche jobs board the other day and noticed a few postings for Porsche parts and technicians in the classic department. Seems like they are gearing up for a full Porsche classic offering in the US. Should be an interesting option for repaints, engine rebuilds etc., obviously incredibly expensive.

Yes, they are. And they are also in the process of selecting dealers across the country who will become Classic centers. Not sure what the criteria are or the offerings. They are paying close attention to the older cars, last year alone they re-introduced ~275 parts that were NLA.

Based upon what I saw today Stoddard Porsche will be one. I wonder if there will be one on the West Coast. One can only hope it is a good dealership.

Stoddard would be a shoe-in. Their ties with Porsche run deep. And for a good reason.

I'd love to see pricing on those. Since we think carbon buckets are spendy...

Might also have something to do with adding 996 to the list of cars they look after...

My buddy at Porsche San Diego was one of the first, he said. The way I understand it, it will be something of a kiosk to sell parts. But, who knows how far it will go.

The three Classic centers currently are Gaudin (Vegas), Hennessy (Atlanta) and Porsche of Colorado Springs. There doing service AND sales. It will be interesting if they can actually get qualified techs and how they deal with things like value guides.

It 2 years ago when I first saw the radio and things certainly did change at the dealership in San Fiego.
