Question Power Seat Follies

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My driver's side power seat fuse blows constantly ever since I pulled the racing seat out of the cab and put the 8-way back in. I cannot seem to figure out why. Everytime I put in a new fuse, it works for a while. After a day (or less, sometimes), it blows the fuse.

Is there something simple that I am missing? Has anyone run into this problem before?

TIA.

Mark,

The only thing I can think of is that wires, or a part of the harness, are being pinched. The simplest thing you can do is unbolt the seat and inspect the wires. Look for flattened wire or broken insulation. I've never come across this problem, but the fuse-blowing you're describing sounds like a marginal current flow or an intermittant short. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys! Correct. Some of the insulation was pinched off. I taped it up and am hoping that works.
