Sticky seat rail?
Here's a problem everybody will have an easy fix for but since we don't all own 5 cars....
I am tall and hence the seats in my 97 C4s are always at rearmost position (could do with another 6 inches more room really...). Whenever an unexpected event forces the wife to drive the 993 she is unable to move the seat forward coz it seems to be stuck (she's a foot shorter :-).
I know the easy fix for this so pls spare me the funnies, what causes this and is there a fix??
My 95 did exactly the same. Once I get in a drive it for a block or two all is normal. Dealer suspects the switch...

PS
Searched for "stuck seat" and found very amusing stories about going western style, yes that does fix it. But, no-one gave any real cause/fix for the problem as far as I could see.
Nevertheless, if anyone has any more good stories about drive-bys and sadness caused by looking for reflections in shop windows..... Doesn't fix the problem but reading the thrads did cause me a lot of fun.
I guess people who are willing to put up with the idiosyncrasies of a 911 must have a terrific sense of humor by default!!! Perhaps I don't look for the reflections but I'm sure happy to have found a good bunch of Porsche drivers! :-)

This is a common problem, but when you DO get it fixed put the seat all the way back and then just "tap" the switch so it comes up about a sixteenth of an inch and you won't have the problem again!
