Default 993 Turbo PPI

Hi,
I've got a PPI on 993 TT I intend to buy, but I have a hard time determining if the deal is worth it since the asking price is quite steep and I do not know what to expect to resolve those issues. I'm mainly concerned about the oil leaks.

the under hood light is inop .
one bulb out in the third brake light
30k service should be done .
air bag maintenance
brake fluid flush
rear wiper is too long should be replaced
left front driving light is broken
four tires are too old . dating back to 2006
slight oil seepage around right side turbo
slight power steering leak around resevoir
I am also going o be sending you via e-mail the ppi report and warranty data on the vehicle .
The paint and the interior are in excellent condition .

Any advice?

nothing sounds very serious beyond the leak around the turbo. might be good to understand what is involved there. I'm not sure what air bag maintenance means. I'm not aware of routine maintenance for airbags... otherwise it all sounds like typical maintenance. good luck and be sure to post some pics if you buy the car!

Items 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8 should be relatively easy to price out and resolve.

Not sure what item 4 (Air bag maintenance) is.

Items 9 & 10 are worrisome and potentially expensive. I'd be wanting to know a lot more about these two.

Typical. Always figure at least 10% of the selling price to "sort out the car" to your standards once you take ownership. Price of admission. Negotiate, negotiate, and then negotiate some more.

Might want to do a leakdown test too. Also have them check the suspension, motor mounts etc.

Turbos leaking might mean a rebuild at some point. You can always go to k16/k24 hybrids =)

i had problem #10 for me it was a loose clamp at the power steering pump.

cant say much but get a good PPI. mine showed that i didnt have any issues with the trans and strong motor but 3000 miles later im doing a LWTFW and clutch.

I would say textbook typical 993 and 993 turbo issues. Nothing to worry about. Turbos leaking does not necessarily mean rebuild in my experience. None of those items sounds major. I reduced my oil level in the sump and found a slight mar in an o-ring at the turbo oil supply bridge on my right side turbo. After addressing the o-ring and reducing my oil level, my leak went away as well as high oil consumption.

Default Issue list

Make sure the air bag light is not an air bag deployed incident. The attached list may help you ask what has been done and what needs doing on the car. The list is for a Carrera but most all of it applies to a Turbo as well:

9 could be a timing chain gasket gone (mine had that issue)

10 could be any loose hose clamp or like mine, a power steering hose that has a internal valve perhaps that's what is leaking a bit.
