OK, now i'm confused.
David in LA--who makes your 18x11's? I was under the impression your wheels are Speedline, like the one pictured on the Carnewal site. But comparing the two on this thread, they are obviously different.
So it seems as tho' there are 3 different companies who are making this same look wheel: 1)Kinesis (2)Speedline (3)David in LA's
Am i straight now?
All 3 makes look awesome and really compliment the 993.
thanks

Hubert,

They are Ventus K104s. They were good enough to get me home from Thunderhill. It was those, or I was walking.

Ohhh........David's are Gamballa's. Now I got it.
So is there *any* difference between the RS Speedlines vs. Kinesis Supercups? They look exactly alike to my untrained eyes. Costs similar?

ca993twin: thanks for sharing. Those wheels are sweet! How about a wider shot (pic) of car/wheels?

Thanks, all

Yes, mine are Gemballa 18x11 and just to add to the confusion are made by Speedline Corsa (the Italian Speedline not SAC - Speedline America Corp). There are a number of aftermarket 5 spoke type wheels that IMO are worth considering: Kinesis K58R, Fikse FM5, SSR GT3 and a number of others. Prices vary and bang for the buck award would probably go to the SSRs, whereas Kinesis and Fikse are race-quality wheels and Gemballas fall in between (IMHO). btw the Gemballa is a two piece wheel not a three piece if that is important to you.

Speedline RS are OEM Porsche while the Kinesis Supercups are aftermarket. Aside from weight issues (both of these are relatively heavy) Kinesis does give a PCA discount if you deal with them directly and they may be able to customize the offset, widths and center color for you....I say "may" because they will for any of the other rims they sell. An argument for Kinesis Supercups COULD be that replacing rim halves, etc would be easier if the rims are ever damaged.

Kineses is in N. San Diego county and the owner is a cool guy - I got my AC jack from them - and it might be worth a drive down there to see their showroom. It's also a great excuse to get your golf clubs fitted (Titliest, Taylormade and Callaway are all located nearby).

Good luck with your search.
