Ventura Porsche event sept 13/14
All westish coast Porsche guys:
Take a look at the following link:

This sounds like a fun event, and it happens to be really close to me.
I was thinking of some way to combine this with a Rennlist "fun run"... maybe have the Socal guys meet and drive up to Ventura, maybe have the Nocal and Central Coast guys meet and drive down. All of the Rennlisters can meet at a spot, and drive into the fairgrounds en masse.
Or... all the Rennlisters could meet early, and we can take a short, brisk drive up in the mountains, and end-up at the fairgrounds.
Or... you guys can come up with something else!
What do you think? Want to go to this? Make it a Rennlist party?

Now I'm torn between going to Willow and drinking Viperbob's beer, and coming out for this event. Sheesh. Too many good choices. What kind of beer you got Bob?

If I go see ViperBob in Rosamond I wont be embarrassed showing
up in my wifes Lexus. If I go to Ventura I gotta sit there and watch
all you guys enjoy your cars knowing mine is not here yet! what is

It is a full Saturday/ Sunday event. Got the new trailer to haul the car, and I've got the wife coming so being gone for the weekend will not get me in trouble...

More German CarFest news... I looked at the swap meet, and its for SUNDAY ONLY. So, I would propose that the massive Rennlist throng gather on Sunday for this event. I would further propose that the SoCal contingent meet at the Von's across from Gladstone's (PCH & Sunset) and tour up en masse to some meeting place in Ventura, where we could meet the NorCal and CentralCal Rennlisters for a huge parade into the fairgrounds. To be fair to the guys traveling a long distance, we should make the meeting time in Ventura late enough to give them a decent start time... say 10:00 am? OK, that means some of them will have to start at 6:00 or so, but that should be OK. So... anybody know of a place to meet in Ventura? Anybody want to organize a little "Malibu Run" to get us to Ventura? Anybody have any suggestions about the meeting time?
Maybe the Orange County guys would want to organize a "mini-run" and rendezvous with the Malibu group before we take off. What do you think?

The fact that you'll be at the AutoFest should draw lots of Rennlisters who are probably as anxious to meet you shake your hand as I am.

If I can get a two-day pass from my wife, perhaps I can sneak out to Willow on Saturday. I still need to breal the news to her that my stock, OE shocks are shot and are a serious saftey hazard.

I'll be heading up (Sunday) from South Orange County, bringing a "special guest" from the Netherlands = Arjan from the 964 board. He's gonna' love seeing all the So. Cal P-cars live and in motion.
At a minimum, I'll plan on meeting the LA gang at your rendezvous point. If Orange County musters a run, I'll join that, as well.
