Randall,

It's all good....no preferences....as long as we can meet up with those Malibu rennlisters for the drive up to Ventura.

There got to be more OC guys than just the three of us.... Hope to have more people joining us.

Actually, it's just the 2 of us so far. Arjan is visiting from the Netherlands!

I've even put the word out on the 964 board....no takers yet.

There shuld be more from Orange County. I'll know more after Breakfast Club this weekend. Personally, I would prefer going via freeway to the McClure Tunnel in Santa Monica, and then on to Malibu, but as you have a visitor from the Netherlands, it would be a lot more scenic via PCH.

Pete,

Your route sounds good. Guess I don't want to drive through stop & go traffic 200 or so miles. I'll just take Arjan up through Laguna--perhaps even Newport Beach--on my way up, then cut over to Irvine or wherever the OC group winds up meeting. That will give him a good taste of scenic PCH.

Bumping this to the top to keep the interest going. I'm not hearing from the NorCal Rennlisters on when they think they could meet us, and that will determine our schedule. How about you SLO, Santa Ynez, and Santa Barbara guys... you know who I'm talking about. Chance of a lifetime here. Lets get going!

Sounds like there will be a nice contingent of Orange County Rennlister "mini-cruising" up to Malibu, where the main contingent (led by the fabled fbfisher) will take us on up to Ventura by some secret, curvy, and fast route.

This should be a great adventure. Bring your digital cameras. And your "walkabout" family radio thingees. They worked great when old fb led us on a previous Malibu run.

Anybody should feel free to post this invitation on the other Porsche boards. The more the merrier, as far as I'm concerned.

Shant,

Sounds great. I'll probably start a new thread as the Sept 14th date gets closer. We'll have a Conejo Valley "mini-run" over to Malibu. Looking forward to seeing you again.

I am from OC here and planning to go on Sunday. Now that the kids are back to school, I can't really make a committment of going and the time. I'll take the 101 all the way and will join in if I see the convoy . If you see a black cab, that'll be me.

Nice that you guys think about my visit at the 'Granaas Casa' but I join you guys together with Randall, but take the road what's the best for all of you.

I am already glad that I join the club that day, and hé.......I am only a Dutch guy.....

See you next week, hoping the weather will be nice, the rest will run by itself I think.

Arjan,

"I am only a Dutch guy..."? Come on Arjan, we are honored to have you come all the way to California to participate in this Autofest, and meet some crazy American Rennlisters. I believe that Steve Weiner has a PSS9 suspension for the guy that travels the furthest to meet him. Bring a large, empty suitcase with you. On second thought, a suitcase xray machine might easily mistake a Bilstein for a Stinger missle. I'll have to take charge of that PSS9 on your behalf.

This sounds like fun. I'm about 90% sure I can make it, but I will be able to confirm for sure in the next day or two. Maybe I can get others from San Diego to come along also. Randall, and/or other Orange County locals, (once I can confirm) just give me a time and place and I'll follow you up the cost.

All you guys who are going on Sunday, is there any particular reason? I was planning on going on Saturday, leaving probably 8am or so, coming from Long Beach.

If you look at the german autofest web site, it says that the swap meet is Sunday only. Can you switch days and join us? The swap meet ought to be interesting and fun.
