Default Gasoline Odor and Leak from tank

I checked under my hood while at a gas station last week, right after filling up the tank, and the carpet happened to be stripped because I had to fetch the spare, when I noticed some gasoline leaking out of the white plastic insert on the fuel tank, which I assume to be the fuel level sensor. Haven't filled her up past 3/4 full since then, as I believe the leak occurred because the fuel level inside the tank rose above the level of the sensor. I was wondering if there's a part number for a gasket that can be swapped out, or if I should just replace the entire unit?

Additionally, any tips on cleaning up evaporated hydrocarbon residue in my trunk?

Original part number is 999 707 115 40. Description is "O-ring 44 x 4."

As far as clean-up goes, lot's of air circulation and time.

The white plastic insert on the passenger side of the tank is the fuel level sensor. There is an o-ring seal. Pelican has four of these o-rings available that range in price from $1.00 - $8.25, depending on brand. P/N 999 707 115 40.

I understand baking soda and kitty litter will help absorb the smell along with air flow and time. Scatter it about liberally where you can vacuum it up; and not where you cant...

Thanks for the part # guys. I'll go ahead, check and tighten my hoses, get this o-ring replaced and see if that gets rid of the gasoline odor issue.

Did you know when gas stations have an in ground fuel leak they dig up the tank, make a big pile of contaminated soil next to the hole in the ground and the test the dirt a few weeks later and the contamination seems to just disappear, go figure? Of course this is after any fines are levied and paid.

I wouldn't bother with kitty litter or baking soda, maybe leave your garage door part way open and set a fan pointing into the trunk. Fuel fumes tend to settle along the floor so if you have a gas water heater or some other ignition source in your garage or an attached basement get a lot of air flowing. Rule of thumb is that if you can smell it it can be enough to explode.
