No kidding. Just back from the trip with 2 sets of golf clubs, one shoe/misc. bag, a 32" rollaboard, two 22" carry ons, two computer bags, a soft cooler, wife's purse, and the inevitable couple of bags of misc. groceries. All behind the rear seat of the 996 Turbo.

(I could fit 4 mounted race tires + tools and all the gear I'd need for a couple of weeks on the road in my SC. Did have to use the front trunk for one of the wheels, though.)

I recently purchased a Kirkland carry-on bag from Costco and it fits perfectly in front trunk. Just my $.02.

My wife and I have taken a lot of trips in the 993. I usually keep the frunk open for purchase's along the way. We pack using 2 soft luggage bags (like duffle bags). I strap them in the back seats with the seat belt like you would with a small child. They are out of the way and held securely. Works surprisingly well and they are very easy to put in and take out.

Please share how you fit two sets of golf clubs in. I can't fit one unless it is in the passenger seat with it folded back in the recline position.

I'd almost say "pics or it didn't happen" but after reading your posts for the last six years I'd have to say I believe you.

Regards,

.

Back to this specifically--I don't bring our cart bags on trips like this. I do have to take the drivers, and my fairway wood(s) out. 993/964 or torsion bar 911s were the same. Traveled with clubs on probably every non winter trip since 1980. (In the early '90s I did a Western States winter tour in the 924S where I had golf clubs AND skis loaded.)
