3714 made in total. So, "Less than 3714 on the road" would be an accurate statement.

US production was 1752 (759-MY97; 993-MY98). My guess at least 50% have been exported, wrecked or turned into track cars. So 800-900. I have one, my buddy has one and you have one; so that's 3 spoken for

50%? Not a chance. I would bet the survivor number is way higher but we will never know.

It's impossible to get an exact number.

Go with this ^^^^^

Porsche claim that "over 70%" of all the Porsches ever built are still on the road today.

Isn't that misleading if it includes recent mass produced cars? That volume would certainly affect the 70%

So as a 1st SWAG: 3714 * 0.7 = 2600

Given the rate of IMS failures and a few combusting 991GT3's, the recent cars might be dragging that number down....

There have been instances where C2S were mis registered at state DMVs as plain narrow body Carerras so going through an all state search will not yield 100% accuracy in count.

That's true on the Turbo numbers.

What I see on this forum on a regular basis is US numbers being quoted rather than total production numbers worldwide.

Worldwide production for the various coupes, all model years:

Narrow body
-C2 coupe: 23127
-C4 coupe: 4744

Wide Body
-C2S coupe: 3714
-C4S coupe: 6948
-Turbo coupe: 5978

There are a further 1014-1102 (depending on whose numbers you take) 993RS narrow body cars as well as the less than 250 GT2 wide body cars.
