Default WTF kind of ebay auction is this?

Who would put their "400hp" 993 on eBay for rent? Anyone hear of such a thing? "Sure I'll rent it, but you better give me the insurance because I'm going to beat the %#& out of it"

Yeah, I can think of a few places I'd drive...

Maybe I can see how a 993 will handle a 3 hour enduro? 225 miles is a lot of laps at a track.

I wonder if he will provide new tires, brakes, brake fluid, etc???

can you generate reliable, consistent 400HP without an intercooler?

i do realize that labor day weather in boston is very different than in austin but still...

Sounds to me like somebody's kid is starting some 'Risky Business' kind of enterprize.
When I was 17 I tried talking my dad into letting me borrow his '70 Mercedes Benz 280SEL as a club pick up service at a strip club for after hours rides for the dancers...nope he didnt go for it.

At Carrera Motors here in Bend you can rent Boxsters and BMW's. I'm not aware of the cost but they have a rotating fleet that they rent from their used car inventory. Before I bought my 993 they wanted to sell me a Red 01 Boxster. If I didn't buy it that day it was going out on a one week rental.

Unfortunately, NHIS has the Loudon Road Racing club (bikes) that weekend and Lime Rock has the vintage festival. So it looks like a safe weekend to rent out your Porsche.

I'm with Steve G.

Someone's parents are out of town.....

I wonder if Nathan's dad is a Rennlister. Is he in for a rude surprise.

I have to wonder if the lender knows the story of the Hertz Shelby GT350H's? Renters would race them all day Saturday and all day Sunday and return them Monday morning, and say something like "we had a nice ride in the country this weekend."

You know they did!

This would have come in handy for that 993 vs 996 enduro a few months back

And look, a Boxster is also available:

Boxster vs 993 enduro anyone?

Darn, just when I thought I was going to launch a similar venture in the Philly area!

Wait a minute, I think there's a DE at the Pocono track in Sept., hmmm....
