Default Fixing a rear roof rattle

I have had a rear roof rattle that would come and go ever since I've owned the car. It seemed like it would be triggered with air temperature changes. Today I believe I've finally traced it to the 2 screws that hold the sunroof motor in place.
One of the two screws needed several turns to fully tighten and pressing on the
motor reproduced the metallic sound I was hearing.

To fix this, you will need to do the following steps:

1. Unzip the headliner zipper near the rear window.

2. Remove the plastic rivets which hold the two foam panels in place.
Use a small screwdriver to carefully pry up the head of the rivet then
pull out with your fingers. Then pry up the piece that fits into the panel
and the metal hole. You will need to lie on your back with your back on
the hump between the rear seats to access the rivets.

3. Tighten the phillips screws which hold the motor in place.

4. Reinstall the foam panels, zip up the headliner and you're done.

Be very careful to not gouge or rip the headliner with any tools being used.

Here's some pics from my fix.

Foam panels behind headliner cover the sunroof motor.

Foam panel rivets removed.

Pulling down one of the foam panels to remove.

The sunroof motor exposed.

The 2 foam panels laid out.

Backside of the foam panels.

This screw was very loose. I used some Blue Loctite on each of the screws to prevent loosening.

Yeah, you bet it is! I just finished a 3500 mile road trip and there is
nothing like 10-12 hour days in the saddle to focus the mind on priorities.
Chasing one more annoying squeak that I think is coming from the passenger
door panel and I will be pretty well sorted.
