Wonder what it looked like after a few months? Bet if that car was driven at all and then washed the putty would lift & crack (I've tried such techniques).

The person who wrote that wheel repair article is Nasa racer Pete on the funcarsonline.com 996 Board. He wrote it I think about a year ago. If anyone is interested in finding out how well the repair held up with time I'd bet you could ask him on that Board.
