Question Shipping seats questions.......

I may be purchasing some seats from a person in NJ, and I want to make it easy on him......what is the cheapest and easiest way to pack and ship seats across the country? Are there any places that will actually pack up seats for you? Does anyone know how much 993 seats weigh? Any ideas on where to get a box to ship them in? Should the seats be packed individually?

Thanks!

Mark:

I bought a pair of used 993 Sport seat back in 1999 and they came from a auto recycler in England.

They shipped the item using UPS by simply wrapping the seat with foam sheet and plastic shrink wrap (each seat individually). I do not know how much is the shipping since I paid for the goods as delivered price.

I believe the seat weigh around 40lbs

I would say that adding some carton material under the plastic shrink wrap would be advisable to reduce chance of scratch/puncture from sharper object.

UHaul has 2 standard sized boxes that allow you to move clothing with hangers. I think i used the smaller of the two sizes to ship a pair of SRDs.
Might work.
