Question Lubrication engineers' tranny oil..?

I think I got the name right now... See my next post on this matter.

I had that changed to my tranny, it's 75W-90, synthetic & mechanic told that he uses it on his race Porsches.

It feels good, so I don't have any negatives, just wanted to know if anyone else uses.

Experiences?

Thumbs up

I had my tranny oil changed to synthetics at the P dealership I service my car. The tranny feels much better and took of a little grinding noise I had shifting from 1st to 2nd!
It worth my money for sure!

It must be this one: <a href="http://www.le-inc.com/" target="_blank">Lubrication Engineers</a>

Some kind of caterpillar oil . Well, mechanic recommended it (& uses it in his race cars) so I guess it should be ok but I'd like to have some kind of confirmation from others too.

Maybe this is that sperm whale oil that someone mentioned earlier (they talk about paraffinic oils in their web page...)

I guess I should call my mechanic and ask what kind of stuff this really is, although he swears in this name...

They make 75W90 oil viscosity but they don't say if they meet the following API specification;

GL5 or MIL-L 2105 B

Ask your mechanic or else ask the manufacturers directly.

At work we use lubrication engineers grease, and gear oil on our asphalt plants, quarry equipment and large gear reducers that cost as much as a new 996. The stuff is the best if anyone needs some I can probably sneak some into one of our orders and possibly get a lower price.

Ray,

I'll ask them directly & I'll check with my mechanic too.

Rob,

thanks! That gives me more confirmation that this actually is something good (I do trust mymechanic but still am wondering a bit that maybe Mobil would be better.)
