Default 993 C2S Vesuvio in US

So the very rare and beautiful 993 C2S in Vesuvio color. This one always makes my heart go. I know these are around since a family member of mine has one. Are there others people are aware of that are in the US?.....we all know Rudy has one

Are there any stats of how many of these came to the US? According to Canepa, 22 or 24? I forgot. Look forward to hearing if other's know of any around.

wow only 23 left?! well, I won't fight for the manual ones, but I wouldn't mind having one of those tiptronic ones , when my knees go out in 50 years ! hehe :P

I love that color! Just like one of those color that changes under different light like aventurine green, except this one is even more subtle!

If the laws in the US were different we'd be back to 24 Vesuvio C2Ss here...instead I could only bring mine to Canada where it reluctantly sits most of the year in storage until I take it out a few times a year. It's a Tip from Japan by the way. In the meantime I enjoy my 991 C2S on a almost daily basis here in NY...

I saw one a few years ago here in Issaquah, not sure if it's still around. Stunning.

You can't register it here but can't you drive across for a few days at a time? I see Canadian tagged cars here for a few months at a time over the winter. I also remember seeing Mexican tagged Japanese exotics in SoCal years ago. They couldn't keep them there forever but they were allowed to stay for a while. I have an old Japanese Beetle which is pretty rare (RHD etc.) and everyone heckles me on the Japanese front tag. It is actually the last registered tag for the car before it made it to the US.

Yes I have thought about bringing it down for a few months and probably will, likely next summer. Makes no sense over the winter and will just take space in the garage - which houses the 991 otherwise.

How about 23 1/2

When I did the full restoration on my 97 C4S, I painted it Vesuvius.

When I bought my 95 in March 2006, there was a Vesuvius/black car with sport seats, M030, 220 diff and a few other things at the dealer for service. Chatted with the owner, turned out car had under 30000KM (18600 miles). When I asked if the owner if he'd consider selling it, he said "only if someone gave me crazy money like $70K".

someone just posted a few pics of one with Green interior on the 993 rennlist thread on facebook! that's quite a unique combo. I can't really tell what I feel about that, but I think it is one of those case where I'd have to see it in person to decide.

The contrasting colors really puts this car on another level IMO.
