Post Disabling Drive Block?

Has anyone had this done? Costly? I have a 95 C4. I'd like to still have keyless remote locking, but drive block is a pain.

Any advice appreciated, as always.

Jack,

It can be done. Simplest way I know is to buy a new chip from Steve Weiner (Rennsport Systems) and have him delete the drive block when he programs the chip for you. You not only eliminate an annoyance, but get a performance upgrade at the same time. Ok, so it cost $500...

I just picked up my new oxygen sensor. I'm installing it and a new spoiler wall tomorrow or Saturday. Hopefully it eliminates the loss of power that we've both experienced. Your car is still running well since yur sensor was changed?

$500...chump change, I just had an extra key made with the Fob. The ECU # in the car was not the ECU of record. Back and forth to PCNA, and Pioneer Porsche in San Diego finally got the correct #, the key cut and the Fob burned. This was about $250, out the door...but they did provide me a free rental car....and they washed my car. And I/we now know the correst code number. For standard Porsche car service, Pioneer is outstanding, and they run a PM shift for maintenance and repair. The "wrench" to use in the PM is Skip.

Yeah Tom, I'm still 100% since changing the O2 sensor. I was going to replace my spoiler wall (cracking) but saw all the posts about using black cloth tape and it worked great so I'm going with that for a while. Got a motorsound airbox, rear seatbelts (installed today) and various little things. I really want Ruf pedals next.

Take care,
