Beautiful! That color is so nice. Love the "all soaped-up" shot. Enjoy!

WeRd... Wasn't feeling the red but the grey does it! I recently bought an early 1966 912 in Slate Grey so maybe I'm a bit swayed in that direction! Good luck!

Nicely done Nick! I love it. You mentioned a move, are you still in the Ann Arbor area?

Thanks for the compliments gents. This was a car that I've wanted to have for a very long time & I'm still pinching myself.

Jason - I had almost come to terms with the red paint & used Dario Franchitti's car for some inspiration. Once we started to remove paint from so many different areas, I knew that a repaint in my preferred color wouldn't be a huge deal. As it happened, Guards Red paint is one of the most expensive due to the pigments required - Slate Grey is the cheepest. No brainer....

Rudy - nice to hear from you! Hope my C4S is treating you well? Yes - moved to another house on the same chain of lakes / Huron River system - 15 minutes from DTAA. It's a great house with room for an additional 40x30 garage.... Looking forward to building it over the winter.

huge improvement over where you started. like you, i'd love to add a longnose hot rod to the existing cars on hand. your final outcome is gorgeous and the slate grey is perfect with the RSRs.

A manly color for sure. I wasn't sure where this thread was going and liked the original car in red. But when the additional pics started enfolding the transformation is awesome. I'd kill to own that car!
