FWIW, PET is only available to Porsche dealers and are copyright protected. All copies in the hands of individuals are pirated and are illegally sold.

Ditto for the service manauals that are PDF's on CD.

However, you can find authorized material here: http://www.my-porsche.com/

They have microfiche part sheets/part books available.

My luck, the "official" source lists the part numbers list as "NLA" for my year.

Thanks for the help/replies

E.J.

I own legal versions of the 3 vol parts catalog for my 69 912 and the 8 vol tech manual for my 993. I would gladly purchase a legal copy of PET from PCNA if they were wise enough to sell it. In fact when I need parts I "illegally" print a copy of the diagram and part # and hand it to the parts guy at the local P-car dealer. He seems to appreciate that he no longer has to follow me out to the parking lot so I can point out what I'm looking for. Between the two cars I am constantly buying parts and I would imagine they are happy to have my business.

Cool

Thanks, Jeff 993TT. Nothing will really replace the service manuals which I have been looking to purchase.

Good Weekend to all!!

I'll second this observation---dealer parts guys have appreciated my having PET. Helps them help me find the right part. I'll say, "I need part 993-xx-xxx on diagram 805-xx." He can go straight to it, and will concur if he thinks I've got the right part. He'll also tell me if the part has been revised/superseded. We're both happy in the end.
