RJT 993,

To get the stickers, you must be a team member of "Hey, wait for me" Racing. This is a highly sought after and esteemed membership, and applicants are carefully screened. You can submit an application to this forum, and describe, in 500 words or less, some incident which shows your worthiness to be considered for membership. True lunacy is preferred. Or, you can send a few beers over to the AARP Representative, and he'll put in a good word for you.

On the other hand, I see from your signature that you own or have owned 8 Porsches. Including a 914-6 and a 66 911! If it weren't for that 74 911, you'd have to be locked up. I say, let this guy in. He's lunatic enough. Get him some stickers. You must find your own way on the team by "declaring" a position (hopefully, not one that was already filled... now THAT was embarrassing, even to HWFMR members).

We'll be happy to help you find the exact right team position, but give us a little more insight into the inner you. And don't forget them beers.

Heres mine. Same location but trimmed around the art. If any of you Houston guys want me to trim your sticker before you put it on just let me know. I have pictures wearing the team shirt in the old post as well.

I cleaned my car today and applied the HWFM racing stickers (one on each side to reassure my passenger) I tried to cut the outline but that did not look as good as Princeton's so I went back to the white rectangle. Here are 2 bad pics.

Steve and Distinguished others....
I would like to submit my application to join 'Hey, Wait For me' Racing Team as the Official Arkansas Moonshine Supplier for the Team.
Since the Moonshine is highly flammable AND explosive I would have to deliver it personally to each event. Not a problem.
My #1 qualification......I joined Porsche Owners Club in 1968 at the ripe age of 18. My first event was a time trial at Riverside Raceway, where I worked as a corner worker. I was given a walkie talkie and was told to call in any incident that happened at my corner. All the cars had letter/numbers on the doors. The officials told me to say Apple 19 for car A19 or Charlie 22 for car C22 etc. The first car on the first lap came into my corner and spun out. The car number was N30....I got so excited that I couldn't think of a word that started with a N....So I radioed in that Pnuemonia 30 had spun out.
I rest my case!
I look forward to your decision.

Robert,

That, my friend, is a perfect example of a proper membership application. Other prospective applicants should take careful note. As a bonus, Robert is familiar with Riverside Raceway, which gets him some bonus points. Robert, do you recognize turn 6 in my avatar? Other than the fact that my beers haven't yet arrived, I'll be happy to sponsor our newest HWFMR member, and Official Arkansas Moonshine Supplier. What do you guys say?

Steve....You don't know how much I appreciate your recomendation!
Yes, I was VERY familiar with good old RR. Before we moved to Arkansas 3 years ago, my wife and I would go out to Palm Springs once a month. On the way there and back we would drive right by where the track used to be. My wife would give the "HEX" sign to the shopping mall that stands where RR once stood. It's funny, but that mall is never very crowded! For years after the track was gone, turn 6 remained there as a tearful reminder.

Robert
Subject to official approval by the Big Turtle himself, you've got my vote. Anyone who started working corner's back in the day when I did (on the other coast) would have the reflexes & vision to set an example for HWFM racing.
A tentative, but confident, welcome.

I vote you in as well. I will note the changes on the membership list and add you with the tittle of Moonshine Supplier. Interestingly enough you are the first team member who owns a Pepper as well! I guess you need it though to carry all the moonshine at the events
