Used tires are not worth it, IMHO. Tires get old and hard with age and use.
Plus, figure in the cost of mounting/balencing too.
As an example, you can get an entire new set of S03's from tire rack for about $900. You'd have to get the used tires at a SIGNIFICANT discount to make it worth your while.

I have thought about buying used tires from these guys for a while: <a href="http://aktiresusa.com" target="_blank">used tires</a> but since I run RE730s, they last forever.
