My first C2S - 1997 Arctic Silver Coupe, Sport Seats
I flew to Cincinnati last Friday, hoped in a cab to Batavia OH, and drove 12 hours back to Boston in my new C2S! Thanks to Tim Combs at Wright Motorsports for helping make me the third owner of this fine machine. Wright Motorsports gave her a full service and tune up, and she runs great! She came with a GT tail and shod with Fikses, but thankfully the second owner retained the twists and split grille engine cover. Jerry at EPE restored the stock split grille last Wednesday.
I had been looking for a while for a manual coupe, preferably in silver. I almost pulled the trigger on zenith blue C2S in Oregon with 110,000 miles - glad that deal went sideways as this car only has 65,000 miles.
Glad I found Rennlist as well. Sadly MA requires front license plates (thankfully my Audi A6 4.2L is exempt with the older green plates). The OEM license plate bracket looks terrible way up high on the front bumper. I read a few threads on Rennlist and saw a great design by Inventiva. Unfortunately Jef no longer makes them, so I went down to Home Depo and for $10 I made one myself Check out the pics. And Go Patriots!
The C2S awaits at Wright Motorsports

A happy guy!

Congratulations, & welcome!
Sounds & looks nicely sorted. Well done Very cool that you have the original rear spoiler & wheels, too.
Do you know if the front spoiler came with it when new?
When convenient: more shots of that plus interior pics, please.
In the meantime, drive safe & have fun!

Thanks -
Still need the Audi for daily treks to ski country! Here area few pics of my DIY license plate bracket. I really like what curve lover did with the Speedster as well.
The way it should always look
DIY bracket from a tie at Home Depot for .97 cents
A $4 license bracket for Advance Auto Parts - I cut a few strips of metal left over from the tie for inserts
No drilling necessary - stainless wing nuts help

Curve lover your speedster is INCREDIBLE! The front spoiler was added about two years ago by the second owner. The GT tail generated so much down force it was needed in front to counterbalance. I'm a stock guy, but Im thinking about leaving the spoiler in front (and possible the Fikses).

Foxman...funny, just sent you an email for more up close front splitter pics. Disregard that now...
This winter, I was planning on going the GT2 wing/splitter look(without the flares) on my 4S. With the Turbo nose, the choices were limited. I found two new options, as well as a used splitter, all one piece fiberglass.
None have the same center profile as the oem look, and I have no idea why they jog in the center like they do, unless they're going more for the RS/CS look than GT2. Do you have any documentation on that splitter? FVD, and Design 911UK both have one available. I've seen different shaped holes for airflow, but identical other than that.
Anyway, congrats, car looks great.

Congrats on a sweet looking ride, I hope you have many enjoyable years with her !
NJ also requires front plates............. But I only have a front plate on my F350, I just refuse to mar the face on my 993, or my other cars / SUV. It's a $35 ticket here so I'll gladly pay that

I also just got a 98 C2S and live in Lexington, MA.
I like the front plate mod. I gave in and installed the front plate as the holes were already there from the previous owner.
We should set up a C&C sometime. Mo
