credit where credit due !
Well that answers my "do 11"s fit" question
Did the change of wheels & tyre size change the handling ?
Do you have a photo of the car side on [with the turbo 2's] ?
cheers

Ron,
Wow, that's my favorite for sure! I saw a Speed Yellow '03 GT3 in the flesh at a PCA DE Saturday, and while I'm sure it's the superior car, it simply can't hold a candle to a wide-body 993 in the looks department. I say bring on the 997 and its "real 911s have curves" philosophy!

Q,
The handling didn't change as far as I can tell, but I don't track the car. Since it's lowered 1.5" with H&R coilovers it handles pretty well to begin with. The 11 wheels do fit fine since their offset is 45mm. You can pick these twin tubo wheels up relatively inexpensively since they will only fit widebody Porsche's, and therefore are not as marketable as many of the other wheels.

I also run the 295's in the rear on an 11" wheel when I had the 996TT wheels and now on my HRE's. It does increase understeer a bit at speed as I am still running 225's in the front but for everyday driving and even in the twisties, there is very little difference.
With the TT wheels...
With the HRE's...

Poon & Edward:
Thanks for the compliments on my car, I plan on starting a new thread in the next couple of days listing all of the mods I've completed in the last 3 years. I'll title it "The Slippery Slope" in homage it Martin S. It will include additional pictures.

This thread is great I have just been looking at your cars and am very impressed, you 993 guys arnt afraid to modify your cars big time which is great.
I own a 964 cabriolet with a widebody Strosek kit and suggested the same sort of thread on the forum and hardly got a response.
Anyway heres some pics of my car the rear looks very similar to a 993 and I would love to hear some suggestions for which type of rear wing/spoiler to fit.
Regards
Paul

I agree with Darin. I have seen your car on the 964 board and just love it. Its the best of both worlds and looks very seemless.
