A also posted this on the 'BAR Group' topic.
Because I have some requests of the group, I wanted to post on this topic as well for maximum response. My apologies for the double post!
To All-
What a morning...perfect weather, perfect roads, perfect cars and most of all a perfect group of owners!
As others have said, this was our largest turn out with 39 cars.
Again, I am open to route suggestions. I live very close to 92/35, therefore I pick this spot to meet. I will be happy to organize an event that meets anywhere in the Bay Area. You can email/PM with your suggestions...
Also, I am looking at Sep 7th or 14th for the next drive. If there are DEs, car shows etc on either of these days, let me know. I do not want to conflict with anything.
Finally, if you want me to add you to the email list...send me an email (John Clement, I have your email and I will add you)
Until next month...enjoy your cars!
Anthony

I'd like to refer you northen Calif guys to:
www.germanautofest.com
Its a big Porsche car show/swap meet thingus down here in Ventura County fairgrounds on sat & sun Sept 13 and 14. A nice cruise from N Cal, great Porsche events, and you'll probably see a pile of S. Calif Rennlisters.
I'm going to try to get a gang of locals to go on an early morning cruise, and end at the fairgrounds, probably on Saturday. But if you guys will consider coming down, we'll do it to best accomodate you. Post here or start a new thread? Maybe we should start a new thread.

I was up at Point Reyes last month. Highly recommended! We should definitely go sometime.
The road is great all the way up to Inverness, and then VERY bumpy on the last stretch into Point Reyes Lighthouse.
There is a couple of nice restaurants and a bikers bar at Point Reyes Station that could serve as lunch place. Probably need to work on a large group reservation though.
The route was quite simple...
Cross the bridge, 101 North
then Panoramic Hwy west to Hwy 1
which ends up at Stinson Beach
then up Hwy 1 to Point Reyes Station and have lunch there...
then a short diverson to Inverness
And then for those who don't mind the bumpy road, go to the lighthouse and seashore
Another alternative diversion is to the Bear Valley Visitor Center where the earthquake trail is...
