Default Double Whammy?? Wiring Harness & Carbon Buildup

I was wondering if there are some '96 993s that had both of these problems. For example, my car is a '96 and it was affected by the wiring harness recall. Since it's been well documented that the '95 993s weren't really affected by the CEL, is there a chance that my car could still have this problem?

FWIW, my car was built in 11/95. Thanks.

Rich

I am not an expert on either issuebut the CEL issue seems to be related to type of use, hot running inheavy traffic, etc. Wiring harness is for specific VIN numbers. I think they are posted on a website but can't remember which site....

SLVR97TT,

I know several people here have recommended hard driving to help remedy the CEL problem, but there are still some folks who still encounter this problem. My neighbor does hard driving everyday in his '97 C4S, yet he still had the CEL come on last week.

So, I don't know if this problem is rpm related, OBDII or even it's a certain year. The '95s don't seem to have this problem and they are OBDI. Thanks, anyway.
