I want to buy a new set of OEM or equivilent taillight lenses for my car but haven't had any luck. Pelican Parts does not have them in stock and was unable to locate them. Any ideas?

If you want to get the OEM European Taillight lenses then you can get them from AJ USA

Could be an exception, but I've found Sunset Porsche to be the cheapest source for OEM taillights = dealer cost + 15%. Be sure to ask for the Excellence Magazine discount.
With the european lights is there any special wiring? And do they except the original bulbs. Thanks for all the information it is greatly appreciated.
Randall,
Thanks and I just ordered a set from Sunset Porsche. They go for $78.91 for each tail light. I have one cracked one, well at least only for a couple more days.
Cheers,
Boris

The European taillights should be no different when installing.
Just plug them in.
As an FYI: The front lenses are a different story because they need dual filament bulbs

Anyone have pics of european tailights on a 993? I purchased a pair and am curious how they will look. I have only seen the older models with them. Thanks

There's a turbo for sale in the classifieds that has them installed.

On my new (to me) '98 C2S, the entire tail light is red. Gven that many people seem to like to replace the orange side-markers with clear, I'm wondering why someone would want to add more orange lenses to their car. I'm assuming that my car has original USA all-red taillights (and I assume they are orange when turned on).
Someone enlighten me please, GRIN.

That is why I asked if there were any different wiring requirements if they light up orange then I will not install them. I don't believe they do. As far as why would anyone want to add orange I just like the way it looks. I have the original red if I want to put them back on. Owners preference I guess. Thanks for the replies

cont... I think they only light up when using the blinker. I have not seen a european car driving around with orange lights on as standard driving lights.
