Oil Top Up.........How?!
Can find nothing in search but not sure if I'm using it correctly?
Anyway...on my 964 I could pour oil into filler tube without funnel as hole diameter was big enough.
On 993 hole is smaller and I need a 'device'. I'm sure with a bit of thought I could make something.....a funnel seems a bit boring!
But I'm sure someones come up with a cunningly brilliant solution?!
Thanks in advance!

Hi John!
I was waiting for that response! But last year someone posted a pic of an 'advanced funnel' which appealed to the Professor Brainstorm in me......it was a funnel with extra tubing to go round the engine bay opening?
Basically it's too hot to work so I'm killing time!

Hmm.. well, I just pour the oil into the filler tube. No funnel needed. Granted, the whole neck of the bottle won't fit into the tube, but it's still large enough to be easy to pour into, IMO.

Auto stores carry a screw-on tapered and extendable pouring tip for motor oil bottles...works for me, combined with a shop towel around the neck to catch any "backwash"

I pulled that accordian insert all the way out and stuck it in a dusty corner someplace. It's narrower than the fill tube and makes adding oil go slower. I either use a funnel or one of those screw-on tips.

The shape of the 4 litre can of Mobil 1 is such that when new you have a 6 inch 'drop' to the filler tube! No worries I'll get a funnel!

You do realize that there is (or should be) an accordian insert in the fill tube that you can pull out and, when fully extended, it comes above the level of the engine compartment (hence, no drop at all)?
