Porsche announces its own oil for air cooled cars- restarting the oil wars

Porsche oil 10-60
So far I like the oil, not as much dry lifter issues on start given my occasional use of the car. Think my fuel economy has decreased due to the thicker oil.
If I have a can and see you (remember the New Years long drive?) will provide. Probably should of asked the shop the large tins as they are cool looking.

I bought two big tins and a couple small tins from an online retailer and had the shop change the oil with my filters, oil, etc for a bit under 200 labor.

I guess I'll never have a firm answer to whether using such oil is in fact worth it until I split open the engine and look at how everything is worn.
Until then, screw it. I'm using Mobil 1. And doing the $200 worth of "labor" myself in my dirty garage. I wish I drove my car hard enough to worry about the difference between the oils.
