limp mode / less power after battery disconnect?
I had my battery disconnected for a few months, so I searched RL to see what to expect when reconnecting battery and going for a drive. Have the standard high idle, car tries to stall a bit when coming to a stop. I figured the electronics would reset as I drive instead of doing a regimented drive cycle.
After 20 miles, I got on the throttle and the car felt like it was at half power. Does the DME keep the car in a limp mode while its going through the drive cycle? I didnt see any info about power decrease after connecting the battery.

I thought limp-home mode was only on Tiptronics? Normally after a battery disconnect (and it shouldn't matter it if it is 10 minutes or 10 months), just letting her idle for 10 minutes before driving should be sufficient to set everything up.

It might only be for tip. I'm used to hearing it from the turbo Audi club wrt boost pressure. I've just never felt the 993 be so underpowered and can't discern what else it would be besides the DME since there are no idiot lights lit up.
