Default Amazing Battery Life

I had to replace the battery in the 993 this morning as it was no longer taking a charge from my battery tender. I checked my service records and was surprised to see I bought this battery in April 2003. The battery lasted 11 years! ELEVEN years! The techs at the shop were amazed.

I hope the new Exide last that long.

Cheers.

That's got to be a new record. Mine have never lasted more than 3 years

My last Interstate battery lasted a decade, and I never bothered with a battery tender. I am now a customer for life.

Original battery in my '95 lasted about five years.
Next was Interstate for 13 years, no tender and lots of cold-soaked starts.

New Interstate last year.

My Interstate battery is approaching 14 years!! It was put into service September 6, 2000.
I store my 96 993 indoors, with a Schneider Maintainer, and I live in a moderate climate (San Francisco Bay Area).
I hope I didn't just give it the "kiss of death".....

I just replaced my Sears DieHard International...lasted just over 14 years....and it would still start the car after 3 weeks of sitting. I figured I was pushing my luck and replaced it. I did keep it on a Deltran Tender tender all the time.
