So... My wife informed my last night that she ran over a "limestone brick" at about 15mph a day or so prior to this left turn business. It apparently hit something under the car and made some noise.

I'd check with the local police. "Wife missing after admitting to running over brick and forgetting to inform pertinent parties." police investigated, and after discovering it was a 993, cancelled the search. Husband last seen in garage crying.... Police providing escort to flat bed. Case closed.
