BAM!

(At least I think, I'm not 100% sure of the bulb type but if it is the same bayonet fitting as the others this will do nicely)

The blinker relay for the LEDs is included in the kit.

Your extra brake lights in the center strip seem like a good idea. Do you have the part number for the rear fog light wiring harness? Is it difficult to find the part in the US since it's not part of our standard equipment?

Unfortunately you need to buy the entire rear center piece to get the wiring harness.

Sandia man:

I got my wiring harness for the center panel lights used from a fellow rennlister. And yes, they would be hard to find in the US, because this is the rear fog lights wiring harness.

Possibly ask Gert to purchase the RoW rear fog light wiring detail; www.carnewal.com
DIY wiring with appropriate gauge wiring/connectors would make easy time of it...

I have an extra rear center lens, (with the Porsche script across the back). Could I cannibalize this to perform the extra brake light mod, or do I need any additional pieces? With drivers such as they are in San Diego, this would help ease my paranoia in traffic...

I just wrote Tore about clear/white back-up LEDs and rear fog LEDs. He said they should be available from him in 3 to 4 weeks. No price mentioned or discussed but his stuff is usually good and priced fairly.

I ordered the kit today from Tore, along with some other parts.
He will keep me updated for the rear and front fog lights, as well as the reverse light.
The goal is to go al LED on the external lights, except for the headlights.

Thanks BobbyT for letting us know about the kit. I've ordered one. Also therossinator, I'm also interested in the source for the backup LEDs when you find it!

callipygian 911: AFAIK, all the 993 rear center panels have the openings for the rear fog lights, plugged with dummys from the factory if the rear fogs aren't fitted. All you need to do is find some bulb sockets that can be modified to fit, fabricate a wiring harness, and install it.

I recall seeing a thread on here that showed some readily available bulb sockets that could be modified easily.

Using a rear fog light harness is the easiest as far as installation, because you have the bulb sockets and wiring already done, leaving only connecting it to the brake light circuit. Finding the harness might be the hard part.
