Default Hard start after warm up!!!

Hey Guys:

95 c2 w/ tip starts like a dream in the morning or when cold. I drive it for 1/2 hr and leave it sit for 20 min and it cranks for 10 sec then starts up and smooths out. I had the fuel pump changed as my indie suspected the ck valve was leaking down. I picked the car up and it started as usual when I got home and washed it, let it sit and it was hard to start. It seems to feel like it is flooded because once it starts it sputters like too much fuel, I hit the gas and it clears the idle right up and purrs. I also had the plugs replaced and a minor tune up done.

TIA Jack

Sure sounds like a bad starter motor to me. But hard to tell from 3000 miles away over the Internet.

Good luck

Why not give the shop the opportunity to do the job correctly?

1) new fuel pump
2) start car, no issues
3) wash car
4) start car, sputtering

Perhaps its your ignition wires acting up due to the moisture from the wash?

Can you clarify? Is it a continual issue restarting after warm, or was it especially difficult after washing it? Was the car wash part of the issue, or were you just trying to illustrate the length of time that passed?

The answer to this may help us diagnose. Did the fuel pump change this pattern in any way?
