Installed my Stratton Ducktail last week and found the sheet metal structure where the latch ring attaches to the lid is a bit weak. What I mean by this is, when pressure is applied to the structure of the lid the sheet metal bends. Has anyone modified the sheet metal so the latch ring doesn't flex and if so, how?
