Default Update

So, I was expecting to have to go thru the process explained earlier in this thread on the shipping of the wheels when I get a text yesterday from DHL that my wheels are being delivered tomorrow. And yep, there already here just 16 days after wire was received. Thanks Jlaa for this thread and thank you Euro for tanking!

Curious to know what shipping cost is also...significantly easier to order if Tramont now arranges the shipping. I would guess these are sub $3k wheels, considering current exchange rates.

Spectacular wheels, fast turn around time, custom built, and at a no brainer price. Congrats.

Yep, same here. Not sure about all the drama before, but mine also arrived via DHL with no issues. I never made a phone call to coordinate pickup. Wired the money to Tramont with my specs and they arrived 20-days later.

Love these wheels. If I wasn't going to be selling the 993 I would be ordering a set right now. The only reason I didn't before was the logistical problems, now that that is solved these are a no brainer.

Tramont quoted $1000 shipping cost before, that's why alternative shipping was sought. Apparently Tramont will now handle the shipping,.. I assume shipping costs should be around $250.

Ouch...our shipping ended up being half that, but with LOTS of additional steps/work to go thru. Definately worth a few hundred to reduce the hassle. Sooooo much easier to simply pay Tramont for it all. Probably still close to $3-3300 delivered to your door I assume.

Happy to see Tramonts making it to this side of the "pond"...just so right looking on a 993, 964, hell I've seen tricked out Golf's and Jetta's with versions very similar. The more the merrier.

Paddy -- is that $500 shipping cost through DHL your total shipping costs?

My shipping costs, with myself arranging through Fedex Great Rates and using a Business Fedex Account, for all four wheels, was:

Fedex bill at the end was $474.93
Duty paid was $103.65

Yes, it was 520 Euro/ ~$550 USD total cost via DHL with zero hassle. Here are some pictures when they arrived. Waiting on a set of Yoko slicks from Woodman to be mounted.

Looks like Tramont have switched their hardware. The old style bolt heads were almost identical to Speeline's, save for missing the 'SL' stampings on each head.

I would have thought shipping to the East coast would have been cheaper. Oh well, I paid 2,784 Euro total. 2,264 for the wheels and 520 in shipping.

I'm happy, money well spent!

Why not use DHL now that Tramont has it all figured out?

Default Streaks?

Anyone with these wheels getting black brake dust streaks seeping out from the seam by the bolts and lips? Cleans off easily without stain but happens maybe just 10 miles after a wash.
