Congrats !! good to hear still running good, love seeing that people with 993s just like driving them and keep them til the end. I had the privilege of driving a Mclaren 12c all weekend in California. I was scared that all that performance on the 12c coupled with beauty and speed etc. was going to somewhat taint my 993 perspective.

First thing coming back and sitting in the 993 is a feeling of things being right, can't describe it, close the door, crchuuuunk ! ignition, broooom, mechanics , the whine of the fan, going through the gears, passing 4000rpm, the sound of the flat six like Ringo Star going crazy on the drums ! the leather, so very tactile, very responsive, the gearbox feeling like cocking a rifle, fun to drive, understated clean look, no ugly angles, amazing sound.... yep now love it more now.

Default Congratulations .... 200,000 is a notable milestone.

As for hitting that? Get in line, too funny.

Can we trouble you for a wee bit of the engine's service history? What has been the SAI circuit history? Has there been a constancy of oil brand/type?

Again, congratulations! 200,000 is a notable milestone!

Well, the car is an early '95, so no SAI issues. I've gone from mobil one 15-50 to Castrol Syn 5-50, back to mobil one 15-50. I guess it's just a preference thing. The only other engine maintenence was changing out the lifters. The original clutch started slipping at 150k, replaced around 170k. Oh and the engine under tray has been off for the last 100k miles.

Congrats. I would welcome you to the 200k club, but I'm no longer a member. You'd better get that engine tray back on! LOL Mine is still on. I love the theories about the engine tray. Are they all your miles?

Good one! It's going to take me a very long time to get to 300k now. I'm going to be retiring the car from daily driving in about a month. I am the third owner of the car. I bought it with 99,500miles. Everything was original except the last owner repainted it.
