ANY of them can!

Up until the last set of rotors, my experience was the OE Textars did not squeal at all. Well, they do on this latest set of rotors - danged if I know why. Applied some of this anti-squal spray goo avail. at any auto parts store - now they are pretty quiet but still give out a light squeak.

Oh yeah - all the factory anti-squeal garbage on the pad backing plates and on the pistons have been long junked. I'll live with the squeal before putting that stuff back on (makes it too difficult to switch between track and street pads).

Hi Ray:

Your experiences are not uncommon.

1) I've had good luck by making sure that the pad contact surfaces inside the caliper frames are VERY clean and clear of residue. A buildup of pad material inside there changes the vibratory range of the pads that causes the noise in the first place.

2) Make sure that the rotor holes are not all plugged up.

3) Be aware of loose manufacturing tolerances of each brake pad steel backing plate that also changes the vibratory characteristics. Some fit tighter than others.
