I was part of the logistics team for The Palm and Logistics Manager - The World (what a job title hey?)...
Saadiyat Island is where TDIC is building The Louvre Abu Dhabi, The Guggenheim Abu Dhabi amongst other cool tourist destinations.
I met my wife in Dubai (she's a fellow Canuck), married her and we had our kids there too. The UAE holds a special place in my heart.
The filming was at the Dubai Autodrome and we knew Discovery Channel was coming to film their "Trading Up" series so a bunch of us Porsche fans went down. Mike instant gravitated to my 993 C4S and then the producers asked if we'd be keen to feature on the show so that's how it all unravelled.

Those of you who want to watch HD in your living room TV, it will be airing on 3/28/14(Fri) 10pm PST.
I might catch Corvette one before that too!
Yes, I would have walked away...

Deepee, thanks for posting. Watched that all the way through. Loved it. Shame that people actually treat that car that way. There was some good advice on what to do and look at. Now I am out to look mine over again. Well at least in the morning.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Agreed - huge thanks for posting, Deepee. Love that show.
I wonder how they diagnosed that Varioram issue. Does anyone think they really felt something odd under throttle then start taking the top off the engine looking for issues? I guess it's possible, just seems a little hard to believe.
