MASHAW Ducktail Install
I fitted the duck on the 993 this weekend. For just coming straight out of the box / me having very little body work knowledge - I thought the fitment was very easy.
Couple of notes:
> I removed one shock. Two was just too much lift. When I pulled the release I had to stand by the side of the car and hold the lid down or it would fly up like a scalded dog.
> The holes for the two rubber bumpers on the bottom of the lid had to be drilled. When drilling, I had to cut the slits as well to match the original deck lid. Without the slits, the bumpers would not screw on.
> Reading about past installs really helped. Especially with finding the correct relay to unplug to turn the spoiler light off. It's on the passenger side - the passengers left foot will point at it.
Here's some pictures of where she stands today. I'll take her to the shop on 3/24 for prep and paint.

Very nice Chad Fitment and gaps look great from the pics. You gonna badge it or run incognito?

Thanks for the nice comments, guys! I started off with a good product, so that made things easier.
I used a stock grill that I purchased off of eBay for $100. When it arrived it was badly oxidized and I was worried it wouldn't look good. After a thorough cleaning - it wound up looking good as new.

Michael, the owner of MA Shaw is a great guy to talk to. Make sure you have plenty of time on your hands when you call. I used his Turbo S tail on Rufus. Quite happy with it.

I didn't install the gasket. I was worried that cutting that long of a slit may compromise the structural integrity. I know that some have installed it. I'd like to hear pros and cons on weather to install it or not.
I left the light off. I figured that it doesn't put out that much light anyway and I wanted to make the original lid easy to reinstall.

I found a place to get my graphics for the duck. Dan at Magnagrafik.com was stellar to deal with. He's making my "Carrera 3.6" graphics exacly the way I wanted them to look. Here are some mockups - I'm getting red and silver as I don't know which way I'll go. Probably silver.
