Default Bozo is not alone: Stupid oil change question

Ok, a guy with 600 posts should have this down, but...
While changing the oil without Robins great pics (Figured 5 times, I could wing it) I took off the bolt (not the engine drain plug) that sits nearest to where the engine and trans meet. Where the engine drain plug is horizontal, the plug I took off faces down, towards the ground. When the bolt came off, there was a large spring and a 2 inch metal tube that came off with it. Of course the spring and tube fell into the oil. Question is, what does this drain? (I know it is oil, and not a lot of it) and does the tube go on top of the spring or does the tube seat in the recess of the plug and the spring go over the top?? I am sure if I put this in wrong, the engine will seize Please help.

OK Bozo...

I had to go & get Factory Manuals for help (where are your manuals, you numnut?!).

It's "Plug For Oil Pressure Relief Valve", tightening torque is 60 Nm (44 ftlb).

If we are talking about the same piece, this is on right side of the crankcase (passenger side), it's total of 6 pieces:
-Plug (which you opened)
-Spacer Ring (small round thing that's sort of inside the "plug"
-seal (washer)
-Spring guide sleeve (that's propably the tube you said)
-Spring (spring)
-Piston (about half the length of the guide tube, little larger diameter and has a groove in it)

Does this make sense?

I couldn't find anything else in manuals that it could be.
If my scanner would work at home, I could post a nice little picture but it doesn't...

Damn you two. I had just downloaded the same PET photo and did the write up. You both beat me to the Submit Reply button.

Eric, please follow the diagram and make sure it is put back exactly. Please notice the orientation of the metal tube in the diagram when you reinstall.

Yep, that is it guys. I pulled out the manuals. Did not want to get them covered with oil but what the heck... The manual states the parts as the following
Thrust spring
Piston
Screw in Flange (oil return)
Seal A
Multi tooth nut
Stepped disk
I fear the piston has gone swimming in the oil bucket.
From the manual and PET it looks like the tube sits on top of the stepped disk in the recess of the plug (bolt).
Thanks for the quick help guys! FYI anyone changing the oil, about a 1/4 to 1/2 a quart came out of this plug...
If anyone has a different idea of the placement of the stepped disk please let me know

Thanks,

Correction: The manual shows the stepper disk not over the tube but the PET shows the disk going over the tube. I am going to follow PET as when I fished this part out of the oil it was on the tube. Thanks again!!!
Now how to get Mobil 1 off the keyboard???
