A while back I made myself a couple of bumperette delete plugs https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...t-writeup.html and there was some interest from RLr's. I made 10 further sets and sent them to the first 10 that responded - with a request that if anyone made better versions I could get a set back in return. So they weren't really 'kits' - more like samples.

Unfortunately I have no more and am absolutely not interested in supplying these, even (or especially) for money, for a few reasons: They are labor intensive to mold; they come out of the mold 'rough' and need a lot of work to fill, sand, paint; I made them just for a personal project, to have a crack at molding and painting; most importantly - from feedback, the cutouts in the bumper were made by hand at the factory so each is likely to be subtly different enough to make fitment a PITA. Overall - I don't have the time, I could not bring myself to charge money for the rough molded items, no-one could afford to buy finished versions (!) and then they may not even fit correctly...

The way to go is 3D print (or just fill the bumper...). I handed out 10 samples in the hope one may get 3D scanned and refined into a usable STL - but the issue of the bumpers being hand cut still looms. There are a couple of projects potentially on the go but I really would not expect anything very soon, these are people just tinkering around for kicks.

I have no problem loaning out the original molds (PM me), but as warned, the molded plug is very rough, too rough to sell to our RL friends.

I think what people might be asking is whether you have a "finished" unit available to 3-D scan so we can have batches made up with a 3-d printer. Thanks, Ron

Good work! Little details like that drive me nuts. The car looks so much better and more stream line now.

Limey Boy,

Great job! Beats the heck out of other options. Looked at your original thread. Wonderful detail. If you ever do more, I'm in. If you want to loan out your molds, I'd like to try.

I'm now at the point of enough monochrome, I'd just like to refine it without making changes that can't be easily undone. I can revert back to OE look in just a few hours at this point.

I did the front bumpettes, mostly because I thought their ugly to usefulness ratio was to high on the UGLY side. Now that they are done I love the way she looks. I didn't do the rears for the opposite reason. My car is black, so they don't stand out against the paint. If it was white or yellow I might of deleted the rears also.

DEFINITELY count me in! I really want to get rid of my front bumperettes, but want a bolt-on method to do it.

I don't hate bumperettes and like my car stock, but would love a set of these as a nice alternate
