Default Anybody running Continental Extreme Contact DW

Need new tires on the 993 S. Like the sound of these based on Tire Rack reviews and also like their light weights (21#, 24#).

Any pics of them on a 993? I like a square sidewall shape as opposed to rounded?

Thanks.

I had them on my 987S and they were great tires, especially in the rain. Very quiet, grip was good and predictable for general and spirited street use. Interestingly not so popular on 993s, but fairly common with 987s and 997s.

I'm the opposite I prefer the more rounded sidewall so Hankooks etc fit my aesthetic needs.

I have had for 5k miles. No close up pix but mounted on Volk TE-37s (forged mono blocks). I am happy, they are quiet, decent priced, balanced easily, don't " flat spot" much and feel very responsive. I have had Sumi IIIs and think these are clearly better. Your results may vary.

I've had them on a few different cars including my 993 at the moment. I really like this tire - it is very honest and predictable, good wearing and a great value. Not as sticky as the Pilot SuperSports I have on my other cars but well suited IMO to the 993.

I had them on an Audi TT Quattro and loved them. Especially good in slush.

I have them on my M-B 300E (following Michelin PS-2's) and I just love 'em. I'll be equipping my other cars with them as needed.

Bought mine new last March for my daily driver - very satisfied. I run Pirelli SnowSport in the winter.

I have them on the C4S and have been happy with them. I think they are a really good value for a street tire. Tire rack rated them better than the PS2. A more recent test had them behind the Super Sport but the Super Sport is a lot more money and in my case Michelin does not sell stock OEM size in the Super SPort.

I have them on my 993 C2 with stock 17"s. Great tire and it's very light too.

I bought my car on a new set of DWs mounted to the Cup IIs and they have performed admirably for about ~5k commuting miles, one AutoX and a track day, so far. Very good wet or dry if not the ultimate adhesion levels offered on other, shorter-lived tires.

I have new shoes for closed course antics now but I'll likely replace this set with another for commuting when they wear out based on my experience so far.

Cheers,

DW and DWS are completely different tires. DW is perhaps the best value tire going right now. Modern design and tread compound. Just waiting for the Sumis I have now on the 993 to age out and I will replace them with DW. They are $200 more, but so much better just for the ride comfort / quiet / straight tracking.
