I am looking to correspond with anyone who has successfully installed Sparco Ergo Competition Racing Seats, size Medium, in a 993. I purchased the car with ROTtec "GT3" seats on sliders, but I outweigh the former female owner by almost 100 lbs (I'm 6'/210 lbs) and they are too narrow. I like the idea of the DTC head restraints (the "wings" of the halo) on the Sparco for track use, that can be removed for street use, but the seat is 37.8" tall, before mounting and 19.7" wide at the base, which seems big.

Alternately, I have a pair of OEM 996 GT3 seats (wrong color, unfortunately) on BK brackets and factory sliders in another car, and those feel marginally wider. What would it take to make these fit? I may be able to trade my (rarer) grey for someone else's black...

Otherwise, there's always the Atkin's Diet...
