It would probably be safe to say it was not a common option for the C2. However, those more versed in the subject of 993 options can tell better than I. With that said, every C4 "variant" had them and they are an awesome system for those that want to push the car a wee more. Hence why a RS/CS or race build usually specifies a 4 channel system. It can be further enhanced if you search through Bill's postings.

Ever overlay data between vacuum and hydraulic assist? Often, literally back-to-back-to-back on some test days, and I never really cared. Lap times were what they were for all three cars.

I'm in the UK for work and my car 96 C4S has been getting some maintenance, so to get over the withdrawals I visited the West London Porsche dealership. They had a 993 C4 they had rebuilt from a 140,000 mile beater. It looked good, but they wanted 85,000 pounds ($136,000 US). Ouch.
