Default OT: 1986 Porsche Turbo $27K, good deal?

I found a 1986 930 Turbo with 96,000 miles on it Black with Black interior in stock form for $27K does that seem reasonable? The car has the service history and is very well maintained. Has anyone owned a similar car? what do I need to expect in the future for up keep? And how long will the stock turbo last? Are these cars a lot faster than our 993's? How do they compare....Handling, Accelleration etc. Any help is appreciated.

That year they came out with 5 speed? Personally I'd stay away just because it's too old for my taste. Oldest turbo I'd get is 93.

You should put this on the 911 turbo thread (maybe you did), but I have done a lot of research(and looking) and it sounds like a great deal.

I drove both a 993 cab and '89 turbo cab back to back this weekend and actually liked the turbo cab better. Acceleration is great when the turbo is spooled up and at the power is addicting. Good luck

They came out with the 5 speed in 1989.
