I sent a few questions to the seller s.m.d._ent - What was done to refurbish? New bearings? New belt? The Porsche catalog indicates a single o-ring on the shaft. Yours has 2. Is this correct?

Answer - Snap Rebuilders, Salt Lake City, UT was the rebuilder. I see what you are looking at and it appears that what they did was use two smaller thickness "O" rings to provide the seal. While not OEM, there is no reason it would not work.

That said, I can obtain the correct "O" ring from Pelican Parts if you decide to purchase the distributor.

Best regards, Ron Meier

They are just a reseller.

Thanks for finding that out Alex andTim. One of the reasons I decided to purchase the part was because they (the seller) appeared to have experience with similar parts as they had other distributors, water pumps, etc. for sale. I thought then that the 993 part would not be a big issue for them... I was obviously wrong as I found out when I got the part in my car out and compared them. If they are just a reseller then it makes more sense now.
Does any body know anything about Snap rebuilders?

Cheers.
