It is a little hard to tell from the photos. How much do you think the springs settled? Did they settle about the same front and rear?

Thanks for the help. I'm obsessing a bit, but don't we all?
Almost forgot to ask - what shocks did you use when you did the spring swap?

Ah!

How much do you think the springs settled?
I'm not sure, but I think it was approximately just over two fingers of distance between the top of the front tires and the top of the wheel arch, and about a finger and a half at the rear.

Absolutely. But the way my tech put it: "We've set the car at the height that Porsche designed for it, not some DOT guy with a ruler." So I didn't worry about this mod at all. Nor about changing out the OEM Monroes for Koni FSDs. Before I had this done, I was always looking at those tire to arch gaps.

My wife and I do a fair amount of touring with this car, and I am very pleased with the ride and the handling.

You mean it settled that much between the time the springs were brand new on the car and after some time passed, as opposed to the total drop between the springs that came with the car and the new springs?

Sorry; I mis read your question. I don't know how much it settled. Only the approximate post settlement distance.

I don't believe M033's have a nose-up attitude, at least with Bilsteins, and proper adjustment. I also think this gets the cars closer to their DESIGNED height, not a DOT mandated height.

By "stock springs" do you mean the ones that came standard on US delivery 993s (M032) or the ROW stock springs (M029)?

Thanks!

The springs are are standard US delivery, so M032. Even though the pics don't show it very well, there is quite a lot of gap between the wheels and fender lip, but I'm also running 17" wheels. I went to a lower profile/wider front tire (225/45), which dropped the nose a bit as well. Hope this helps.

It ALL helps. I love this forum. Good, on topic information from people who go the extra distance to help out. Thanks again.

One thing to keep in mind is that FSD rear perches are fixed. To corner-weight the car you may have to be creative. Once you are done you can figure out what size pucks you need, take the rears apart, and insert them. I did not do this, but I would if I found reason to take the rear apart again.
