Tonight, while removing an old motor mount (the subject of a future Bozo story to be sure), I broke a sensor sticking out of an air passage... My guess is a O2 sensor or something, but I haven't got a clue...
The red arrow is where it came out of...
Can anyone tell me what it is? I hope to glue it back with superglue and put it back in, see what happens, but I'll replace it on monday. Think it'll work ? looks like nothing special inside, 2 wires.. Clean...But it also looks like it was airtight before, so....
Part # is 96465912000. I ran it by the PET and it says it's an "outer sensor". Wow, totally unhelpful !
Thanks in advance !

Well. I superglued it, put it back, the car runs FINE, no warning lights, nothing ! Phew ! I'll still buy one unless it's a totally useless california part (like the air passages prone to carbon buildup)

Hey Greg,
That's your rear blower temperature sensor. Controls the engine cooling function of the rear blower. It just plugs into the duct, should have a wiring connector hooked to it. And yes, you should replace it.
