Default Made it Home

Just got home from picking up my new to me 1996 C4S/Arena Red-Cashmere Interior with 33K miles. The PO installed litronics, bilstein, eibach suspension, 6 CD changer and stainless exhaust. I paid 47,500. Not a bad deal. The car is in very good condition, runs great with some minor scratches here and there. All in all I'm happy.

I should have been home sooner but my flight got bumped and had to wait for a much later flight. Made the 709 mile drive in 10.5 hours, University Park MD to Skokie Illinois.

Well going to catch some ZZZZZZ's then wash all the bugs and dirt out of my new baby.

Last but not least, I would like to personally thank Mr. Rick Lee for looking at the car for and going over it with a fine tooth comb. Rick took pictures and then sent them to me, he really went out of his way to do this for me. Rick then emailed me the photos and said the car is in great shape and gave me the thumbs-up to purchase. Thank you again Rick!

I'll try to post photos soon! Goodnight!

Congratulations on your fine automobile, and excellent purchase. I hope it brings you many years of pleasure. If this is your first p-car, welcome to the slightly wacky world of Porsche. If not, then you already knew what you were getting into, and welcome anyway.

Cool! I just did the exact same trip buying my C4S in reverse from Chicago TO Maryland. Great memories like you had. I washed mine the very next day too. Aren't these great cars? My wife isn't too keen riding in it as a passenger due to the bad roads around here - but I love it as a driver.

Congrats. Better get Zaino!

Well it is now about 7:30 AM Chicago time. You are probably out tearing up the countryside in the new car.

Congrats and maybe you'll come back home in a couple of days to read these.

I bet it will be a memorable drive for a long time to come. I picked my car up from Germany and drove back to Scotland and I will always remember the trip - unfortunately, I managed to get slightly lost so missed the Autobahn (aaghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh) but still had a great time as well as bags under my eyes.
